PALEMBANG, GESAHKITA COM –Tanjung Carat Port, for South Sumatra Province which is on the top 5 Indonesia for Agriculture Commodity Resource, is extremely vital for the International Trading of Agriculture Commodity that is why this port is mentioned as “The South Sumatra Export Gate”.

This Growth Achievement reached, according to Herman Deru, as the whole of team work committed mutually support, where every stakeholder, included entrepreneurs, Government and local government, either individually or in teamwork all out to put the full spirit to work hard to get out from the pandemic crisis which limited to activities.
Report seen that during the pandemic, the Agriculture sector, in South Sumatra almost all commodity having no bad influence to farming production, as well as Palm Oil, Rubber, coffee Production of which are the most prior commodity from this area.
Regarding to the Launching of “Merdeka Ekspor Program”, which was just announced by President Jokowi, is actually the best moment to say that what Herman Deru willing to say, in order that Agriculture Resources from South Sumatra is being able to ship directly to destined countries, the central government is hopefully would like by no longer time to develop and construct ‘The Tanjung Carat Port” immediately.
As informed that related Minister also have seen the Tanjung Carat Port area, are included the Minister of General Working Development, Agriculture Minister and others.
For South Sumatra, following the “ Merdeka Ekspor Program” is still required to use the shipment a port to port shipment system via Belawan Port.
“This time being, we ship the commodity via port to Belawan Port Shipment. That is reason why I keep on reminding the Central Government immediately starting ground-breaking the Construction dan development of Tanjung Carat Port, “Herman Deru stated.
Central government has listed on nasional development Plan on priorizing and vitalizing more to ports in the whole archipelago and one of which in Sumatra Province is the“ Tanjung Carat Port” South Sumatra.
