PALEMBANG, GESAHKITA COM–Dominggus Mirop is Bina Darma University Student of Language Teaching Technic Faculty, Sport Education Major as the grantee the High Education Scholarship Affirmation spoke to gesahkita com that he was surprised of having the scholarship in Bina Darma University which is so far from his hometown in Papua.
However, He is very happy, knowing this new environment in Palembang, South Sumatra.
As informed that the United Language in Indonesia is still used Bahasa Indonesia as national and official language, as a matter of fact that there are more than 350 thousands local languages as their mother tongues in every different area of this wide nation.
Dominggus also says that he feels impressed of the respond and assistances either from the environment in where he stays or from his campus friends and the lectures and campus staff.
“ I feel like that they are all so kind and friendly. They help me many things of what I need. And they are, Bina Darma University and Palembang, now are my second hometown, “Dominggus Mirop ended.
Meanwhile, another grantee of the High Education Scholarship Affirmation, Januarius Dox Santos Baransano who is a student of Bina Darma University also was being interviewed and admitted his gladness of being the grantee of the scholarship from the Indonesian Education And Cultural Affair Ministary to have the experiences to study in Bina Darma University.
‘Hopefully, we guys from Papua as the grantees of Scholarship Affirmation will keep on getting the maximum score point from our study to get very good name of Papua as our hometown and Bina Darma Univerity as our Lovely Campus” he expressed it friendly.
In related with this matter, the lady Rector, Dr Sunda Ariana MPd MM as presently having a full trust to manage this huge university, explained that Bina Darma University appointed by the Indonesian Education And Cultural Affair Ministary that at least, so long have been 15 students from Papua study in Bina Darma University.
The rector also says that this type of scholarship is one of government intervention Policy which is characterized as affirmation as a grant to give the opportunity for Indonesian Society to continue study in High education Degree of whom are in the certain geographical boundary and other more conditions.
“So in this matter that UBD is being appointed to implement this Scholarship Program, “Doctor Sunda explained.
Furthermore, She also describes regarding to the scheme of this High Education Scholarship Affirmation that during 2020, this scholarship provided for the Students who are from Papua, West Papua, the Indonesian Particular Area and the children of Indonesian Overseas Labor Worker.
